Where can I find details on your quarterly financial performance, including income statement, cash flow and segment data?
There are two places you can find this information on the Investor Relations
portion of our web site - under "Submissions to the SEC Filings" and"Earnings Releases."
Under "Submissions to the SEC," go to the year you're interested in,
then select the appropriate report to view.
Under "Earnings Results," go to the year you're interested in and you'll
find links to each quarter's 1) earnings release (the text explanation of our
financial performance), 2) Statements of Operations and Available Separate
Consolidated Net Income/Loss (income statement), 3) Consolidated Balance Sheet and 4)
Pro Forma Selected Segment Data (a breakdown of each of our three main business segment's
performance). If you have trouble viewing the information on our web site, please
email us your fax number and we'll be happy to send you a hard copy.
We issue our full Statements of Cash Flows at year-end in our Annual Reports and
10Ks, which are available through this web site. A condensed version of the Statements
of Cash Flows is also included in each quarter's 10Q report, available under "SEC Filings."
What stock symbols are associated with Hughes and its subsidiaries?
The stock symbol representing Hughes is
"HS" on the New York Stock
Exchange. PanAmSat trades as "SPOT" on the NASDAQ. None
of our other
business units is separately traded.
Does Hughes or its subsidiaries participate in a direct stock purchase program
or a dividend reinvestment program (DRIP)?
Neither Hughes nor PanAmSat has a direct purchase or DRIP program. To
purchase HS or SPOT stock, please contact your broker or use an online

How do I get cost basis information?
We have cost basis information for 1) when General Motors initially bought
Hughes in 1985, 2) at the time of the Raytheon transaction in 1997 and 3)
upon completion of the GM exchange offer in May 2000. All of them are

Why haven't I received a 1099DIV or other tax forms regarding my Hughes investment?
Hughes has not issued dividends for the past several years because we are
in a growth phase and are reinvesting those returns in the business. If you
